FAIRFIELD, Chirumanzu– Bishop Chikamba today visited Chirumanzu District as part of the Judea Zion Christian Church (ZCC) annual round-up crusade, marking a significant moment on the church’s national calendar.
The visit became momentous when the man of God, through ZCC National Chairman Pastor Pise, officially announced that Chirumanzu had been elevated to a fully recognised zone, carved out of the Midlands Province.
The annual round-up crusade, which sees Bishop Chikamba visiting Judea ZCC branches both within Zimbabwe and abroad, is regarded as one of the church’s most important spiritual programmes.
Hosted at Fairfield Primary School, the event drew congregants from across the district, including members from Mvuma, Chirumanzu South and Fairfield. The gathering was characterised by prayer, worship and the observance of Holy Communion — a central feature of the annual meeting.
Addressing the congregation, Bishop Chikamba expressed gratitude for the turnout:
“May the God of our fathers bless everyone who spared time to come and listen to the gospel of salvation,” he said.
As proceedings concluded, light afternoon showers fell over the venue — a moment many congregants viewed as a symbolic spiritual blessing.
In a notable development, a brand-new combi pledged by the South Africa branch was unveiled. The vehicle is set to support transportation needs for the church’s brass band team.
The brass band provided musical entertainment throughout the event, performing a series of hymns that kept the congregation engaged.
Congregants also made financial offerings towards the ongoing construction of the Judea ZCC Cathedral. Fundraising for the project — a planned 10,000-seater auditorium at the church’s headquarters in Zaka — remains a standing tradition across all Judea ZCC assemblies.
The crusade continues to serve as a platform for spiritual renewal, organisational updates and infrastructure development within the church.
